Halton Live Fun Fest will take place at Runcorn Town Park on Saturday 4th August. This will be a family-friendly event which seeks to raise money for local charity Halton Haven Hospice.
Halton Haven Hospice is appealing for teams to take part in the ‘It’s a Knock out’ competition which will see teams of 5 compete against other teams in various hilarious games.
You must raise a minimum of £250 per team, of which a £50 deposit is required when you sign up to secure your place in the competition. Teams taking part in the challenge will test their skills, strength and stamina, through a series of fun games! You can enter as a team of friends or as a company. Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
Halton Live will also be presenting an open age Talent Show; the closing date for entries is the 20th July, and all applications will be invited to an audition round, one taking place in Runcorn and one in Widnes. The top 20 successful acts will be invited to perform live on stage on 4th August. Successful applicants will also be asked to pay a £10 entry fee to confirm their place in the final.
Local dance groups and marshal art groups will also be performing throughout the day and local bands will take to the stage between 6pm -10pm.
Ciaran Clotworthy, Events Manager said, “We’re really excited about Halton Live, a great new event that we’ve planned for 2012. We have some fantastic entertainment lined up which will take place throughout the day, from local dance troops performing to talented singers taking to the stage. An all round great family day out.”

Applications are also open for local businesses/people of Halton to host a stall at the Fun Fest on the 4th August.
