EXPERIENCED REGISTERED NURSES & HEALTHCARE ASSISTANTS
The Hospice is looking to recruit Registered Nurses with palliative care experience and Healthcare Assistants with relevant NVQ qualification to join the In patient Unit team.
Full or part time work is available. However, the post holder will be required to work full shifts which are seven hours duration days or eleven hours duration nights. Applicants without specific palliative care experience or NVQ qualification may be considered if they had relevant transferable skills. The Hospice is fully committed to the ongoing education and training of its staff.
VOLUNTEERS
The Hospice is looking to recruit volunteers who are able to commit to regular hours working in the Hospice shops.
This may range from a few hours per week to a number of full days. It doesn’t matter as the important thing is to know when you are able to give time to the Hospice and that you are reliable. The Hospice has shops in Runcorn, Widnes and Frodsham as well as a Unit in the Picow Farm Road Industrial Estate which bring in a considerable portion of the Hospices voluntary income. By helping in the shops you are directly contributing to the work of the Hospice.
The Hospice also needs the services of a volunteer gardener to assist in maintaining the Hospices lawns and borders.
The gardens are an important part of the hospice environment which patients and their families enjoy both directly by being outdoors or indirectly through the views from the rooms.
If you feel able to give of your time please contact Sue Topping, Human Resources Administrator at the Hospice on 01928 719454/712728 or via email at sue@haltonhaven.co.uk.
