The Hospice regards Complementary Therapy as an integral part of the care we offer. It employs its own Complementary Therapist who is supported by a number of qualified volunteers. We offer treatments alongside standard medical care because they have many beneficial effects such as aiding relaxation, reducing stress and helping to induce feelings of well being.
The therapies we offer are:
- Aromatherapy Massage
- Indian Head Massage
Therapies can be given as a single session. However, to obtain maximum benefit we recommend a course of six sessions. These are offered to all In Patients during their stay or to all those attending Day Hospice. We are also able to offer this service to patients or carers who are accessing the Family Support Service however, places are limited.
If the patient or carer you are supporting is not already accessing the Hospice’s services and you believe they would benefit from Complementary Therapy please contact Wendy Unsworth, Lead Clinical Nurse to discuss this further on 01928 719454/712728 or email email@example.com
