Community macmillan clinical nurse specialists
The Community Clinical Nurse Specialists are based at the Hospice. Working with the practice based community teams, they offer specialist palliative care support and advice to patients and their families in the community. They do not provide hands on care.
The team consist of five nurses (not all of whom work full time) who are currently available from Monday to Friday. However, this is subject to change in the future with seven day working being the longer term aim.

EVENING AND WEEKEND DISTRICT NURSING SERVICE
The District Nurses providing an out of hour’s service during the evenings and weekends are also based at the Hospice.
