Halton’s First Ever 5k Santa Dash!

Halton Haven Hospice is excited to announce that they have joined forces with Halton Borough Council to bring to the residents of Halton the first Halton Haven Hospice Santa Dash.

The event will take place on 11th December 2011. We look forward to seeing  hundreds of residents dressed in Santa suits running a 5k fun run throughout Widnes and Runcorn.
Not only that, but the surprise element, that can now be revealed is that the Runcorn and Widnes Jubilee Bridge will be closed in order to allow the group of Santa’s to run across the main centre of the bridge in celebration of the Bridges 50th Anniversary.
Registration is now open, and the cost is £20 per adult and £10 per child aged 9-15. Registration cost includes Santa suit and a medal upon completion.
Ciaran Clotworthy, Events Manager at Halton Haven Hospice, said “This is a really exciting event to be organising. Joining forces with the council is great news and they’ve been so supportive in allowing us to close the bridge whilst the Santa’s run. This will be such an iconic event, one that’s never been done before in the area. We know we have competition with Liverpool, Chester and Warrington, but we’re asking for the support from our local residents to get involved with this event. They never let us down.”
Registration forms can be picked up from the Hospice, or one of the five retail
units based in Widnes and Runcorn, or by calling 0151 495 211.
