The Hospice is seeking to recruit an additional Medical Officer to join the existing Clinical Team.
We require the provision of clinical sessions on Wednesdays, together with Out of Hours cover. The sessions will normally take place between 09.30 am and 17.00 hours, with Out of Hours cover from 17.00 hrs until 09.00 hours on Thursday. The post holder would be based primarily in the In-Patient Unit, but could be asked to review patients in the Day Hospice.
This post would be of interest to Doctors wishing to enhance their Palliative medicine skills or those considering a career in Palliative medicine. The possession of the Diploma in Palliative Medicine would be advantage. However, a suitable applicant without the qualification would be considered. If appointed they would be expected to achieve the Diploma with Hospice support. The Hospice is committed to providing Professional Development which is determined through the annual appraisal programme and supported by the Hospice.
